Prodec Painters Ltd

Exterior painting in London

Exterior painting for houses, residential developments and commercial properties, with the substrate prepared and the coating system selected for the surface and exposure.

Service

What the work covers

Exterior paintwork is only as durable as the surface underneath it. We assess render, masonry, timber, metal and previously coated surfaces before recommending the preparation and coating system.

The quotation can include washing down, scraping back failed coatings, local repairs, stabilising or priming, access requirements and protection to adjacent finishes. Work is programmed around suitable weather and drying conditions.

  • Render, masonry, pebbledash and previously painted exterior walls
  • Front doors, garage doors, timber windows, fascias and exterior trim
  • Cleaning, scraping, filling, local repairs and stabilising where required
  • Primer and exterior coating systems selected for the substrate
  • Brush, roller or spray application depending on the item and finish
  • Access and protection requirements identified before work starts

Approach

How the work runs

A clear sequence from survey and preparation through to application, inspection and handover.

Stage 1

Exterior survey

We assess each elevation or item, identify failed coatings and repairs, and confirm access requirements.

Stage 2

Preparation

Loose material is removed and surfaces are cleaned, repaired, filled, keyed or primed as the substrate requires.

Stage 3

Application

The specified exterior coating system is applied only in suitable conditions and within manufacturer requirements.

Stage 4

Final check

Edges, junctions and repaired areas are inspected before protection is removed and the work is handed over.

What matters

Built around the finish, not just the topcoat

The visible paint is the final stage. Preparation, protection and a clearly defined scope are what make the result consistent.

Substrate-led system

Different exterior surfaces need different preparation and primers. We select the system around the substrate rather than treating every surface the same.

Weather considered

Exterior work is programmed around surface dryness, temperature and weather conditions so coatings can cure properly.

Access scoped early

Where towers, ladders or other access are needed, they are identified at survey stage so the quotation is clear.

Common questions

Exterior painting questions

Practical answers about scope, preparation, access and delivery.

When is the best time for exterior painting?
Dry, stable conditions are best. The exact window depends on the coating manufacturer, surface temperature, moisture and the substrate, so we programme exterior work around suitable conditions rather than a fixed calendar date.
Can uPVC or composite doors be resprayed?
Many uPVC, composite and metal doors can be resprayed using the correct preparation, adhesion primer and compatible topcoat. We confirm the substrate during the site visit before specifying the system.
How long should exterior paintwork last?
Service life varies with preparation, substrate condition, exposure, colour and coating system. Correct preparation and a suitable exterior-grade product are the main factors we can control.
Do you arrange access for high-level work?
Yes. Access requirements are assessed with the property and included in the scope where needed.
